Description:

The group led by Dr. Arribas has generated the platform of PDTXs that has been instrumental for collaborations contributing to the discovery and characterization of novel factors and mechanisms that govern the malignant progression. Dr Arribas’ group is currently developing its research at the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM) in Barcelona. IMIM accounts with 56 research groups focused on cancer, epidemiology and public health, cardiovascular and inflammatory processes, biomedical informatics, and neurosciences.

Main Task:

Our contribution consists in using our established 2D and 3D culture models from pancreatic cancer patient-derived xenografts (PC-PDXs) for the study of the developed nanosystems, specifically, the internalization of nanoemulsions as well as their ability to deliver the photosensitizer.
